a few services UK Pro will offer you for a smooth transition.

UK Pro networks with several British relocation companies to coordinate services like airport
pickups, travel information, accommodation resources, and much more. For those moving to London,
please contact Britbound before your departure to arrange your airport pickup once you are in the
UK and find out more about all they have to offer. For those relocating to areas outside London,
please contact UK Pro for relocation info. I would suggest that everyone check out the BritBound
site for general info about relocating, as it is a great resource.

UK Pro can offer links and advice on navigating the public transport system in your local town. Most
social workers have never used public transportation before so we pay special attention to this
feature, as it may cause stress and frustration if you do not understand how to get from one side of
the city to the other. Here is a link to the London subway system, which is helpful for those living
in London, and also for those who plan to visit! There is also a link to the National Rail site,
which provides info on trains traveling to and through all areas in the UK. Social workers in areas
outside London can contact UK Pro for info on how to access links to public transport in your local
area.

Policy and law education will be given to each social worker so that the terminology in the UK' s
system will not hinder your performance at work. It is important to understand the differences in
the laws and be up to date on all the information when you go into interviews.

After you have a job offer from the UK, all Social Workers must obtain Entry Clearance. Please visit
the link below to find more information about the Entry Clearance process. UK Pro will also offer
additional guidance when you make the application.

UK Pro organizes quarterly social events and trainings so that you will have the option to learn from
other experienced social workers and socialize with other UK Pro workers. Once you are offered a job,
you will also have the option to be placed on a contact list so that you can network with each other
while in England. You are also welcome to communicate with other UK Pro social workers on our
Facebook page. **Note, the Facebook page is only for current UK Pro social workers who are currently
employed or have been offered positions.
