Steps to Apply
|
There are several items that must be completed before we can begin our job. Please be sure to follow these
instructions when applying.
1) Contact UK Pro
You must first contact UK Pro's Senior Recruitment consultant so that basic questions and concerns can be addressed. Initially this is best to do by e-mail. Please send your resume as an attachment. so that we can examine if your work experience is relevant for obtaining a job in the UK. If your resume does not already indicate, please inform us when you will be graduating and with what degree you will be graduating with.
2) Qualify
An organization called the General Social Care Council (GSCC) will determine if you are a qualified social
worker or not. You MUST be qualified. If you have a BSW or an MSW from an accredited university you will be
qualified but must go through the paper work. UK Pro will send you the application package in the mail or you
can call GSCC or visit their website at www.gscc.org.uk and have one sent to you.
3) Resume
We must have your resume (CV as it is called in the UK) formatted like a British style resume. UK Pro will send
you an example that you can compare yours to.
4) References
References are required. Please consult UK Pro staff for the most up to date information.
5) Police Check
This must be a current police check.
6) Document Copies
Copies of your transcripts, degree, passport and working visa (from BUNAC) will need to be on file.
This all may look overwhelming but most social workers can have all this completed within a month. The US
Director is available at all times to assist you in preparing for your move.
