Mission:
UK Pro's mission is to provide social workers from around the world the opportunity to gain international work experience in a foreign county and develop cultural skills within the social work profession. It is our desire that social workers taking jobs within the UK Local Authorities not only fill job vacancies, but enhance the Local Authority with their attitude, professional ability, and education.

UK Pro is looking for social workers of all ages with a desire to work abroad! If you are a new graduate from an accredited university looking for adventure, or if you are a seasoned veteran looking for a new challenge, then you have come to the right place. The UK, which includes England, Scotland, and Wales, is experiencing a national shortage of social workers and needs your help. We encourage you to review our web site and contact us with any questions. Jobs are available throughout the year as the need for social workers in the UK is great! There are available opportunities in variety of teams, described more fully here. UK Pro staff members are ready and excited to partner with you on a great working and traveling experience abroad.

"I was very hesitant at first to move to Manchester as I didn't know much about the city but I have been so incredibly lucky to have joined a Child Protection team that really support their new workers and are so welcoming. My Manager had me shadow a senior practitioner to get a better feel for the UK system and I have found that everyone in the office is so welcoming of any questions I have. I couldn't have asked for a better work environment and Manchester as a city is filled with things to do."
